Air Chief Marshal Sir Keith Park GCB, KBE, MC*, DFC, DCL, MA, RAF was a pilot from New Zealand who fought in both the Great War and World War Two. As well as flying he helped to implement strategies during the wars.
In 2009 a statue of Sir Keith Park was raised on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square in London, in the country he had battled to defend.

When the statue was up I went and took photos which are now unfortunately lost or corrupted or something technical I don’t quite understand. But I managed to do this sketch from one of the pictures before my flash drive died. My dad is from New Zealand and the statue has great meaning to him because of his ancestry. I will be sending him the original sketch along with his gifts for father’s day this year :)
